In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month’s theme for 2021, We Can Build Safe Online Spaces, SAKI TTA will host a live discussion panel featuring SAKI grantees. The panel members will dive deep into their experiences regarding virtual interactions with survivors of sexual assault and will cover a variety of topics. Representatives from the Orleans Parish (LA) District Attorney’s Office and the City of Akron (OH) will discuss practices they have implemented, challenges they have encountered, successes they have achieved, and sustainable policies addressing virtual victim notification, engagement, and general support. Amy Durall, from the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and the SAKI TTA Team, will facilitate the conversation and subsequent Q/A session with the attendees.
